About Me
I love the way that photography brings together people, art, science, and life. The collaborative nature of creating photos together, discussing how it might look, setting up the shot and tweaking settings to dial in the look, and then the full reveal when the film comes back from the lab is so rewarding!
For photo shoots in parks and homes I depend on the Hasselblad 500c/m system to get beautiful renditions with tons of detail on medium format 120 film. On the trail or if the look requires 35mm film, then I use either the Canon FD for vintage glass or Leica for modern Voigtlander lenses.
While I have fallen head over heels for film, it isn’t for everyone or every situation. If you want the clean, bright look or the ability to capture rapidly changing events then digital is the way to go. With the Fujifilm system we get to choose between their excellent lenses for more clarity and some art lenses for more character.
